Sad ! I have not tried both
I would have had boxes and boxes of letters ..
Enough to bury a monstrous war,
Enough to sink all the the beauty and pride !
Enough to burn us into scattered berry blue showers

It’s superb poem with metaphors of letters…letters as
It’s a touching poem with epistolary metaphors…letters as tomes that can bury, stop … fire the heaped up emotions with showers…the red of the war and the fire are finely contrasted with the shower of waters…the poem ultimately reiterates the need to look for resolution of conflicts both inside and outside a heart that truly beats and an overarching desire to see a negotiated peace through the sensuous pores of the body….keep writing
